Our Team
A full-time team of experienced academic and business consultants (pictured below) and supporting staff. Our team are based in our offices in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. We also work closely with several associates on a project by project basis.

Julia Jefferson
Director
Julia has over 30 years’ experience in education, 18 of which has been as an executive principal in KSA. She has been a board member of various councils including one reporting to a New Zealand Government select committee on Early Childhood Education and is currently a board member of several international schools in the Middle East. She is extremely passionate about education and that no child should be left behind, every child should be enabled to reach their full potential and she has always remained committed to this philosophy.
Grant Jefferson
Chief Executive Officer
Grant has experience in the strategic leadership and management of a range or organizations in the Middle East over the last 15 years. He is an experienced school governor, for a number of international schools in the Middle East and has led the opening to successful operation, and development, of a several of successful schools. This has included all aspects of school opening and development. He has also completed a number of successful management consulting assignments for large clients in the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand over the last 30 years.


Susan Barratt
Academic Director
Susan has been a senior leader within schools for over 20 years and has experience in leading transformational change in schools. She has participated in school improvement projects in schools in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. She leads improvement services across all IEC schools, supporting Principals and Senior Leadership teams.
Tim Murray
Business Development Manager
Tim is a highly motivated business development and relationship manager from New Zealand with 15 years’ experience in Australasia and the MIddle East. He has trained experience in identifying the needs of private and public sector organisations and international schools. He has contributed to the opening and market positioning of a several successful international schools in the MIddle East. He is responsible for managing client and partner relationships, identifying new opportunities and providing strategic direction for IEC.


Jennifer McGuigan
Primary Academic Consultant
Jennifer has 17 years’ experience within education in Ireland, the U.K. and the Middle East, working at Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and Head Teacher Levels. In her most recent school in the U.K. she led a phenomenal change, taking it from “Serious Weaknesses” to “Good” within 24 months. She has also worked as a Specialist Leader of Education for a registered National Teaching Alliance, helping troubled schools in numerous areas, from supporting NQTs in the early years to dealing with capability procedures.

Marvin is a highly creative and skilled graphic designer with over 10 years’ experience in Graphic, Motion & Web Design. He has extensive knowledge with digital media and its latest trends. He has worked with agencies in the United States to improve their client’s presence on the web by building unique websites that comply with the latest standards and improve clients search rankings by implementing search engine optimization techniques. He is also the founder of Compare Bahrain – a price comparison service for top electronic products across leading retailers in Bahrain and Point Bahrain, an online location-based directory service.
Dr. Hussain Seroor
Senior Associate Consultant
Hussain has worked with Tribal, EDT and Quality House consultancy in school improvement and inspections (part-time) within private and public schools in Bahrain, KSA and UAE. He holds a PhD, Master and Bachelor in Education and Management, plus CNNA in teaching & education. In addition he holds a level 1 & 2 Coaching and mentoring practitioner, SQA certificate in Planning and delivering Training sessions to groups for level 6 & 7, certificate from Tribal middle east in schools inspections, and Social Media for Trainers certificate. Hussain has completed over 1000 inspections both as a team and lead inspector in public and private schools in Bahrain, KSA and the UAE. He has worked as a teacher in Secondary Technical and Vocational Schools in Bahrain, a senior teacher, deputy head and school principal for more than 20 years and worked at Bahrain Polytechnic as career advisor, student counselor, and head of mentoring, students’ affairs manager, and math teacher.
